ACS Social, Economic, Housing
Includes Social (DP-2), Economic (DP-3), and Housing (DP-4) data profiles. The ACS is an ongoing survey that provides information on a yearly basis including jobs and occupations, employment status, income, poverty, educational attainment, school enrollment, veterans, home ownership and rental info, home occupancy and vacancy status, home values, rental costs, ancestry, migration, disability status, health insurance coverage, grandparents as caregivers, computer and internet use, and other topics. Data are collected over a 5-year period (for areas with a population of 65,000+, data are also reported based on a 1-year collection period). (Learn more)

ACS Demographic and Housing Estimates
Includes DP-05, Demographic and Housing Estimates, which is a sample-based ACS update to data collected during the 10-year census and reported in Profile of General Population and Housing Characteristics (DP-01). For areas with small populations, older 10-year census data are often a more accurate and better choice than more-recent ACS (data should be evaluated case-by-case considering the specific data needed and margins of error of the ACS data). Data are collected over a 5-year period (for areas with a population of 65,000+, data are also reported based on a 1-year collection period).
